Surprise in the Old House
The Old House.
“Come on, James! Don’t be a chicken.” Peter started to do a clucking sound and moved his arms up and down like some mad, demented chicken.
“No! You know mum said not to go near that house. She said bad things have happened in there.”
“Don’t be daft. All mums say that stuff. No one’s lived there in years. It will be an adventure, James. We might even find some gold coins and become millionaires,” Peter boasted. James pondered this for a while and changed his mind at the thought of becoming rich. Reluctantly he joined Peter in the front garden and the two boys crept up to the front door. The door was ajar and Peter pushed it further open.
They silently walked inside. Suddenly, the lights went out and the door slammed shut. The boys felt something dark and mysterious surround them.
James screamed and shouted “IF I DIE YOU’RE GETTING THE BLAME”.
“Don’t worry,” smiled Peter, as he shot out some spider webs.
“You never told me you were spider man!” gasped James.
Peter grabbed James and using his spider webs, swung him safely out of the old house.
“I didn’t tell you because I like to keep my identity secret.” said Peter.
“I promise never to tell anyone,” replied James.

The Old House – Khadija
The Old House.
“Come on, James! Don’t be a chicken.” Peter started to do a clucking sound and moved his arms up and down like some mad, demented chicken.

James pondered this for a while and changed his mind at the thought of becoming rich. Reluctantly he joined Peter in the front garden and the two boys crept up to the front door. The door was ajar and Peter pushed it further open.
They silently walked inside and the door immediately closed behind them, they tried to get it open but it wouldn’t open.
“I told you it was a bad idea!” James exclaimed.
“Don’t be a chicken!” Peter said.
The two boys carried on creeping through the dark, empty house. Suddenly, they heard very faint footsteps becoming louder and louder. They both ran the other way hoping to get home. As they tried to find the door, they heard a voice.
“I will get you!” screamed the voice.
The two boys stopped and turned around. To their horror, they saw a tall dark figure coming closer.
“Surprise!” said the tall dark figure taking off its cloak.
The two boys were amazed to see their mum.
“What are you doing?!” they cried.
“Teaching you a lesson,” smiled their mum.
