A long time ago the Egyptian time pharaohs lived but they have been in a very long slumber from then up to now.
I never knew that
Why did the pharohs have a long slumber?
Pharaohs were the kings or Queens of Egypt. Most pharaohs were men but some well-known pharaohs, such as Nefertiti and Cleopatra, were women. A Pharaoh was the most important and powerful person in the kingdom.
When they died they were mummified because they believed they would need their bodies in their after-life (the place they believed they would go when they died).
Mummies were living in the Egyptians time.
When rich ancient Egyptians died, their bodies were mummified. This means that their bodies were protected from rotting and falling apart. Visit the national geographic kids website to find out more: https://www.natgeokids.com/uk/discover/history/egypt/how-to-make-a-mummy/
